XI. F.A.Q

F.A.Q
I've received a few questions about the game so far so I thought I would set up this post to answer them.

Question 1: Is this game strictly cannon?

Answer: No, it is not. Obviously you must know and use the basic cannon for your character but since I'm sure almost no ones cannon involved being kidnapped by the Umbrella Corporation then clearly you'll need to twist it a little anyway. You may make minor changes to your character but if you're unsure if the change you're making is okay then simply inquire in your application or message [info]trapped_mod

Question 2: Do I have to use the film/tv actor for my character as the PB? It's really hard to find decent images of them.

Answer: For the most part I would prefer if people used the actor who portrayed the character but in a case like this then players can use an alternate PB who is similar to the original actor/character description. For example, if your character is African American then you can't use a Caucasian PB.

Question 3: What if my character is dead in the cannon? Do they remember being dead?

Answer: No, because the Umbrella Corporation has not yet perfected the art of bringing the dead back to life. Just look at the zombies. They have, however, figured out time travel so the agents grabbed your character moments before death, fixed them up, and dropped them into Ash Valley.

Question 4: If the city is empty does that mean there's no power or food?

Answer: No, there is power and food in Ash Valley. Why else would I include the power plant as part of the setting? Also being without food would really suck for the characters and make it difficult for them to survive past seven days.

Question 5: Can I challenge a hold?

Answer: No, but you can be wait-listed to hold that character should the other person not submit an application by the time the hold is up.

Question 6: What is the pace in this game? Does it operate in real time?

Answer: No, this game does not operate in real time because that is not fair to players who cannot be on every night. Once the game starts a schedule will be set up to alert players for when the days change.

Question 7: What if I don't have AIM? Can I give my email instead?

Answer: Yes, you can give your email instead.

Question 8: So if the city has power does that mean the characters will have access to the outside world through phones or internet?

Answer: No, the character won't have access to the outside but they can use telephones to call places within the city. There's no internet either but there is television.

If you have a question about the game please comment here and I will answer it as soon as possible.
