Shinji Mimura #2
RP Sample: Shinji rolled over onto his stomach, his vision swimming for several minutes before he stood up, instinctively raising a hand to his head, closing his eyes as he did so, attempting to steady himself. Taking several deep breaths, Shinji opened his eyes slowly. He was… Confused. Just moments prior he had been—Eyes snapping down to look at his body, his clothing, he was none of the tell tale signs that would have indicated what he had expected happened. Nothing. It appeared as if he hadn’t died at all (but then, if this was the afterlife, it was a little… Strange. Certainly not what he had anticipated, if, indeed, he had anticipated anything at all). Raising a hand to his mouth, it dawned on him that even if he had not died (which, realistically speaking, was pretty low), Yutaka definitely had. Uttering a low groan, Shinji sunk low to the ground, squatting as his mind considered - really considered the events that had taken place prior to this (whatever ‘this’ was. He was not particularly inclined to call it the afterlife until such a thing had been confirmed, but his better judgement told him that confirming it was somewhat futile. The BR programme was designed so that if they weren’t killed by the others within a set time frame, they would be killed by the collars regardless. Either way he looked at it, he was a Dead Man).

Breathing deeply, the youth attempted to calm himself; after all, it wouldn’t do to simply run on emotions. His Uncle had taught him to keep a clear mind, to focus on the objectives. Right now, those objectives were to figure out exactly what this place was (perhaps it was purgatory? That would certainly explain why his Uncle and Yutaka weren’t around), and to see just what was here. Regardless, he expected it to be a lot less stress inducing than the last several days of his life.
